Why are statin drugs inferior to Nicotinic Acid? Statins’ impose greater risks and niacin side effects to the user. Niacin’s only drawback is the flush, or so it would appear as a drawback. What is viewed as a drawback is actually a blessing. Why is the redness of skin called flushing, it is the process of vasodilatation increasing blood flow through the arteries and capillaries of the body. • But what causes the increased level of growth hormone, the flush or the niacin?
• Is the flush a confounding factor or the cause of growth hormone increase?
• Does the use of aspirin reduce the benefits by reducing or taking away the flush or are the benefits the same?
• Will inositol hexanicotinate or niacinamide (non flushing niacin) have any effect on growth hormone?
